Early Morning After Sleepover Fun

It was a overcast morning but the boys were ready for outdoor adventures with Mima, (the name our g-babies call me. They had not even gotten out of their PJ's! They grabbed the nets and we headed to the lake behind our Tennessee home. Spring is emerging and I am thrilled after spending much of my winter in a very snowy and cold Southern West Virginia.

It was a sunny day but due to the frigid temperatures that we have had in Southern West Virginia and even in much of the south this winter, Little Beaver Lake where I took my hike today still remains frozen fairly solid. 

 

 

A Late Afternoon Enjoying The Dragonflies

 A group of Libellula incesta and a Blue dasher dragonflies flying with seemingly endless energy as evening approaches.  They seemed to dart about in an almost playful chasing game.  Their wings fluttered, buzzed and bumped together as people enjoyed a late afternoon lake swim or stroll around the lake as I did.
